Cagliari set Nainggolan price
Serie A side Cagliari have revealed how much it will take on the transfer market to sign Radja Nainggolan.

The Belgium international is of interest to a number of sides this summer, but he won’t be allowed to leave on the cheap.

“I’ve promised him that I would let him go if a big club came in for him with a bid,” President Massimo Cellino told Unione Sarda.

“However, the offer has to be a big one – an offer that is not any smaller than €18m.”

Nainggolan, a midfielder, was targeted by Juventus in January, while he has known admirers in Russia with Zenit St Petersburg very keen.

Cellino also confirmed that boss Massimo Ficcadenti was going nowhere.

“I met him two days after the championship ended,” the club official added. “I showed him our plans for the future and he enthusiastically agreed with them.”

“Saya tak pernah merasakan sekuat ini, dan saya hanya ingin terus menang. Untuk saat ini, fokus saya hanya ke Piala Eropa. Setelah itu, saatnya membicarakan masalah lain.”



Serie A 2012-13 dates revealed
The dates for the 2012-13 Serie A season have been announced, with the competition beginning on the weekend of August 25-26 and ending on May 19.

Released via the Lega Calcio’s official website, it is confirmed also that next term will carry three scheduled midweek rounds, September 26, October 31 and May 8.

There are four breaks in the calendar, with the traditional winter break beginning from December 30, and three dates given up to international fixtures - September 9, October 14 and March 24.

The Coppa Italia fixture schedule has also been decided, with the competition’s early rounds starting from August 5, with the final set for Sunday May 26, 2013, a week after the final round of League fixtures are played.

The Supercoppa Italiana, due to be contested between champions Juventus and Cup holders Napoli, will raise the curtain on the new domestic season on August 19.

"I'll hope. Are now a few years they are doing very well."

Juve are?

"Definitely yes. Both are still young and strong players, so with plenty of room for improvement. Can definitely go to a great team and do well."

Their cycle in Cagliari is closed?

"Now they are already 3-4 years playing in A and have shown a great performance. I think they deserve much larger squares, but I do not know if the cycle in Cagliari has ended or not."

Nainggolan then doing well in the National.

"Radja the first time I saw impressed me immediately. He is very strong. Also has great technique combined with interdiction. A very complete midfielder."

With Pirlo can co-exist?

"It would be another turning point in her career on a positive side to play a champion like Pirlo. Nainggolan is young, but already with a great personality. I am convinced that with Vidal and Pirlo would form a great trio."



Youth-entus to face City and PSG
Juventus have been placed in a group with Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Fenerbahce as they prepare to make their debut in the NextGen Series.

The competition, which was won by Inter in 2011-12, has been expanded from 16 to 24 teams and Juve’s Primavera side will be involved.

“We’re very happy with the invitation to take part in the competition for the very first time,” Juventus academy director Giovanni Rossi stated. “Our boys will give their all in order to honour the competition and the club’s colours.”

The 24 teams have been split into six groups of four. The top-two sides from each group will qualify for the next stage, as well as the four best third-placed teams.

The competition has been referred to as a Champions League for youngsters.

Group 1: Barcelona, Tottenham Hotspur, Olympiacos, Vfl Wolfsburg.

Group 2: Manchester City, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, Fenerbahce.

Group 3: Chelsea, Ajax, CSKA Moscow, Molde FK.

Group 4: Arsenal, Athletic Bilbao, Olympique de Marseille, RSC Anderlecht.

Group 5: Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund, Inter, Rosenborg BK.

Group 6: Sporting Clube de Portugal, Celtic, Aston Villa, PSV Eindhoven.



Van Persie won’t discuss future
Arsenal’s Robin Van Persie has refused to go into any detail about reported transfer links with Juventus.

Interviewed by Turin daily Tuttosport, the Dutchman decided against commenting specifically about interest from the Old Lady.

“Juventus are a great team,” he smiled. “But I have agreed with Arsenal that I will not discuss my future.

“All I can say is that it is my intention to have a great Euro 2012 and win it. I also want to continue playing in the Champions League.”

The striker has just one year left on his contract in London and Juventus have made no secret of the fact that they intend to buy a top player in attack this summer.

“I’ve never felt so strong and I just want to continue winning,” added the former Feyenoord player who joined Arsenal in 2004.

“At this point in time all I want to do is focus on the European Championship. There will then be time to address other matters.”

Van Persie, also linked with Manchester City, scored twice in Holland’s 6-0 win over Northern Ireland on Saturday.
